Long Plan to Hike Merapi Mountain is done.
Last day in the year of 2016, 31 dec we go to hike to merapi Mountain w/ my friend from Klaten, Central, Java. They pursue me to joint the team, cause this is the leisure time, i agree to join. To supported our safe hike, we always collect the climate data, and when i find it, BMKG was predicted that two day until 1 January is so bad weather. Its a warning fo me to go, but i think the weather in the mountain is not predictable accurate as my expirience.
So, we go to Selo at 9 a.m., after 4 hour trip to this camp, we arivved, parking our motor, and fill the registration form. The fee`s all out Rp. 18.500 per person include parking and issurance. We take the rest in the rest area of New Selo, pray for dzuhur, repack, and not forget to pray for our safe. And the hike is started, passed the field of carrots, and come to the gate of Taman Nasional Gunung Merapi, now the field is different, we passed a jungle, its not heavy but the route is upward up yo 55 degree. Then the route when almost near to Pasar bubrah is the little stone and sand its so slick, so we`ve to aware cause the air flow also make it unbalance.
After that, we build a tent at pasar bubrah ( very large place without trees and just a stone) cause the sky is so dark and rain. The air is so cold, so we make a hot of coffee, and break. The time to pray, i`m take it and goto the tent for sleep, cause the wheater is not good for hikers. At 11.30p.m. we wake up to waiting the new year of 2017, make a hot of gingger, and time is up... and 2017 is come, every hikers is out of their tent just to enjoy the athmosphere, and the wheater is not friendly ( again), so we decided to sleep again. Wake up at 5 a.m., to pray, and waiting for the sunrise at 01-01-17, but we`re not lucky enough, the sunrise is not appear cause the heavy fog. But at 8a.m., the miracle is come, the peak of Garuda is very clear and we take it w/ our camera
